Apart from this, he also has siblings, out of which his brother’s name is Abhinandan Chandel and his sister’s name is Disha Thakur.

His international career was at its peak between 2014 and 2018. Winning gold for India in the 2014 Asian Games was a big turning point in his career, but he showed his real game in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup where his match-winning raid against Iran in the final is still remembered.
