Tom Cruise has found himself at the center of another unexpected viral moment, but this one had nothing to do with a movie stunt.
A video circulating online shows the Hollywood star stopping to check on a woman who appeared to be sitting alone and deeply focused on her phone. Cruise seemingly thought something might be wrong and walked over to make sure she was okay.

The woman, identified online as Klementina, later shared the encounter on TikTok. The footage quickly spread across social media, with viewers amused by the misunderstanding and surprised that Cruise took the time to stop in the first place.

The security-camera footage shows Klementina sitting or crouching near an open doorway while looking at her phone. Cruise and members of his team can be seen walking past the area.
After noticing her, Cruise turns around and comes back.
He approaches Klementina and appears to ask whether she is alright. She then looks up and realizes who is standing in front of her.
Understandably, the conversation doesn’t exactly go as planned.
Klementina later explained that she was so shocked by the encounter that she could barely remember what Cruise said to her. The actor eventually gave her a fist bump before leaving. She later said that Cruise returned and took a photograph with her after she had recovered from the initial surprise.

That’s the part that made the video particularly funny.
From a distance, Klementina’s posture apparently gave Cruise the impression that she might be upset or in some kind of distress. In reality, she was simply absorbed in whatever she was watching on her phone.
