A controversy arose over the obscene joke made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia in the comedy show India’s Got Latent. Now he has apologized for this. Ranveer has posted a video on Twitter and requested the makers of the show to remove the controversial part of the video, in which he made objectionable remarks about parents.
Ranveer Allahbadia wrote in his post, “I should not have said what I said. I regret, my comment was not only wrong but also not funny at all. Comedy is not my quality. I have come here just to apologize.”
Further in the video, Ranveer said, “I do not want to give any explanation behind whatever happened. It was my mistake and I accept it. The podcast is watched by people of all ages, and I do not want to be a person who takes his responsibility lightly. Family is very important to me and I will never disrespect them.”
Ranveer Allahbadia also said that he has requested the makers of the video to remove the controversial part. Also, he promised not to do any such act in future. He said, “I promise that I will be better from now on. I hope you will forgive me as a human being.”
After this entire controversy, mixed reactions were seen on social media. Some people accepted Ranveer’s apology, while some termed his statement as a publicity stunt. Many people believe that content creators should take their responsibility seriously and speak thoughtfully.
