Dare Taylor Family and Education
Dare keeps her family and education out of her public profile. She has not named her parents or siblings in interviews, and there is no verified information about where she studied after high school. What she does talk about is how her early years of skating, pageants, and acting gave her the confidence to perform for crowds.
Dare Taylor Career
Skating, Pageants, and Theme Parks
Dare’s career began in performance rather than social media. After her early start in acting and skating, she worked as a parade and show performer for the Walt Disney World company, where she played princess characters. A New York Post story about her time as a Disney princess became a breakout moment and brought her early attention online. She also worked at Medieval Times and at Universal Orlando, and she has said that her entertainment training there, including detailed character studies, shaped her approach to cosplay. She trained in professional character makeup and acting, and later moved to Los Angeles.
Cosplay and Content Creation
Dare started posting cosplay online after leaving the theme parks. She became known for recreating iconic characters, from Disney figures to Pokémon’s Misty, along with comedic skits, honest reviews, “cosplay cringe” videos, and story-time clips about her life. She has said that cosplay gave her the freedom to dress as the opposite of herself and challenged her everyday street style. By 2026, her TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram audiences together added up to more than two million followers, and she has launched a do-it-yourself cosplay series on YouTube. She also earns income from subscription content for adult audiences, as noted in her professional biography.
Acting Roles (2019 to 2026)
Dare’s early credits were small parts in independent films. In 2019, she appeared in Girl Blood Sport. In 2022, she played Mandy in the holiday slasher The 12 Slays of Christmas and had a small role in Giantess Battle Attack! She also appeared as a guest on the first episode of Charles Band’s Full Moon Freakshow podcast alongside director John Carpenter, and in Evil Bong 888: Infinity High.
In 2023, she starred as Rain, whose full name is Jenna Thayer, in the feature film Girls on Film, produced by Breaking Glass and directed by Robin Bain. The film debuted as the number one new release in Amazon Prime Video’s LGBT+ category. She called it the hardest project she has ever worked on. That year she also played Jess in Murderbot and returned as Mandy in The 12 Slays of Christmas: 2023 Edition.
In 2024, she played Reina in the horror film Trucker and hosted Bikini Swim Week. In 2025, she appeared in the short Nice to Meet You with Andres Rey, and in 2026 she is listed as Jessie in Die Die Delta Pi II: The Burnt One.
Music and Writing
Dare also writes and records her own music. In 2023, she released the song “Retail Therapy,” which began as a silly idea for TikTok. At the encouragement of her friends, she turned it into a full music video, which she produced, co-directed, and starred in while Hollywood’s writers’ and actors’ strikes were underway. She raised more than $20,000 for the project and hired more than 40 people from the entertainment industry who were out of work. She has also said she’s been writing and producing a short film for festivals and developing an independent project called Rain.
