Make biryani at home with an American twist! This easy and tasty recipe will give you a new taste. The magic of chicken, spices and dum—ready in just 8 steps!
Cook the Rice – First wash and parboil the basmati rice and keep aside.
Prepare the Chicken/Paneer – Marinate the chicken or paneer in spices (garlic-ginger paste, red chillies, curd) and leave it for 30 minutes.
Saute the Vegetables – Heat oil in a pan and saute the vegetables like onion, tomato, capsicum.
Prepare the Masala – Add the marinated chicken/paneer to the sauteed vegetables and cook well.
Add the Biryani Masala – Add garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric and other spices.
Place the Layers – In a large vessel, first add a layer of rice, then a layer of marinated chicken/paneer and repeat.
Cook on Dum – Cover the vessel and cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes so that all the flavours meld well.
Serve – Serve hot American Biryani with raita and salad and enjoy!
